Using Solar Walkway Lighting in your Garden

Solar walkway lighting is often seen as a great starting point in designing your garden. It gives a similar feel to a runway that simply lights up at night, showing you the path to your luxurious natural backyard. Due to the number of garden lights needed to give a decent look, one would always be better off opting for solar lights. They are affordable, easy to install (saving the hassle for any electrical wiring) and cost nothing in maintenance.


There are many solar walkway lights to choose from. The main selection criteria are the brightness needed (do you want just to mark the path or to light it up), the exposure time required before the lights are fully charged, the design and cost. Following are a few solar light alternatives to give you an idea of the range of products available.


Outdoor solar light

One of the least expensive is the Moonrays Solar Powered Path Light. It is a standard solar light made of durable plastic material and sold in pack of 4 or 10, with rechargeable batteries included. The light emitted is not too intense, but this product represents good, affordable value.







Garden solar lights

The Westinghouse Inwood II Solar Lights are another traditional set of solar pathway lights fitted at ground level. The main difference from the Moonrays lights is their stainless steel look commanding a higher price.








Solar path lights

The Sohodecor 6 Pack Bollard Solar Lightis similar in concept to the Moonrays and Westinghouse lights. These solar lights are taller and made of stainless steel for a great look both during the day and at night. They tend to give a brighter lighting.







Solar walkway light

For a different look, consider the Moonrays Color-Changing Solar Glass Ball Fixture. This product is original, with its changing color globe, and proving popular with a lot of customers despite its higher price.

For really brighter lighting, the Sohodecor Solar Path Light is earning very positive reviews. Made of stainless steel for a more contemporary look, these solar lights are quite durable and leave most customers happy.
